    Now this is the coolest thing ever.

    me and a girl in my messuring technology class is going to do a project on Sonoluminesence, I have been reading my ass of on this now for a week and its realy a fascinating phenomenon!! Especialy since the light bursts have no satisfying explanation so far.

    Gonna be fun to try and make it work and even more fun to try and messure temp and radiance from that little thing.
    Amazing to think that possibly under the right circumstances it might be used to ignite fusion

    What's this "messuring technology class"? The only US analogy I can think of would be quantitative analysis, but that's chem, not phys.

    Your university should petition to get on the Facebook or something. I would like seeing the type of curriculum you guys take. At least you guys probably don't have to put up with Griffith's damned texts over there, lol.

    Its probably the wrong translation. Its mätteknik on swedish and directly translated it becomes messuring technology.

    Its basicly a experimental physics course I recon. We learn how to use different electronic equipment to make messurements and analysis of different things, especialy osciloscops. Feels like there is some engineering throw into the mix aswell. We read it parallell to electronics and just play around alot I hate the electronics course though. Most boring shit I have ever taken.

    I can take a crack at writing out our curriculum.

    Year 1
    One variable analysis,
    fundamentals of physics
    mechanics 1
    wave mechanics,
    Many variable analysis,
    A course in matlab

    year 2
    EM fields
    Quantum physics(just a broad overview includes atom and molecular physics)

    messuring technology

    year 3.
    The mathematical methods of physics
    Quantum mechanics
    Physical laborations
    Astronomy
    Geophysics
    Analytical mechanics
    Electrodynamics

    Material optics
    optoelectronics
    semiconductor physics
    Nanophysics
    Solid state and surface physics

    Year 4
    Material physics and surface analysis
    Quantum dynamics
    Molecular and surface physics
    non linear phenomenons

    second semester of year 3 and all of year 4 you can pic and choose whatever. Year 1 and 2 course are all mandatory. I guess I have translated some things very shabby

    Right now we dont have any masters education. We have a 4 year education that is one step above bachelor but one step below masters. But it will be replaced with masters soon so my education will be 5 years. The uni Im switching to has more fun classes in year 3 and 4 aswell
