    Cardio or Weights

    Just a quick question... my goal is to lose hopefully 50 pounds over the next three months. i have eaten terribly the past few years and not worked.

    i just began working fulltime again and following the cutting diet on here. my job is fairly physical and has been quite a shock for me as i've had no form of exercise for awhile.

    My question is which would be more worthwhile? cardio or hitting the weights? I'm getting a membership to the gym but in reality know i will not do both. So between work and the cutting diet which do you feel would be more beneficial to add?? Thanks guys

    Honestly, you will want to do both. Cardio for fat loss, and weights and proper eating to retain the lean mass you do have. If not, you will end up being a smaller just-as-fat person lean mass to fat ratio wise.

    both and diet

    you don't wanna be a skinny fat guy and just doing cardio will get you to that point.

    Use diet to create key opportunities to burn circulating fats during cardio work - and resistance training to give your body a reason to hold on to muscle.

    Cardio = Greater energy expenditure.
    Resistance Training = More muscle and higher metabolism.
