Is there such a thing as a testosterone booster that actually works and is safe to use between cycles??

Tried some, with no effect. I just wasted my money. Could have been better spent on food or a good shake :-).
Although not a test booster, i got good gains on Ecdysterone. Helps with protein synthesis...
You're better off just taking the money you were going to spend on a test booster and throw it in to a fireplace.
Very few controls and regulations on nutriceuticals. Many of the claims are unproven but since there is very little oversight, they can make just about any claims.Originally Posted by johnnymctrance

Just look, we have been eating horse and donkey for years, and now someone had to get sick and get the meat tested :-) Lol
I don't know that I would call AAS safer, BUT most of the adverse events are known for AAS and proper use in "healthy" individuals is generally safe. The issue with OTC supplements is the unknown efficacy and side effect profile. I certainly wouldn't label OTC supplements as completely safe because there are some that when abused can promote long term health complications (many of the caffeine based pre-work out products come to mind).Originally Posted by johnnymctrance
A few years ago I tried pure caffeine anhydrous. The recommended dose was 1/2g. Thinking I was tolerant to caffeine, I doubled the dose. This otherwise "safe" OTC product caused tremors, confusion, tachycardia, nausea, and severe headaches at 1g. Yes, the label clearly said not to exceed 1/2g but the reaction I had demonstrates how harmful some OTC products could be if abused or used for extended periods.
Lack of regulations. The nutriceutical market is a multi-billion dollar market. I'm sure the target consumers are young men looking for gains in strength and size and few question product integrity when the marketing behind those products is so alluring. Just open any BB mag and see all the pro athletes endorsing the products. Many guys see those ads and figure, "heck, if this guy "uses" this product and looks THAT good, why shouldn't I use it!?!"Originally Posted by johnnymctrance
It's the same thing with vitamins. Numerous claims are made about their health benefits but not all claims have been rigorously tested for validity.
LOL. Absolutely. Those guys in the magazines clearly didn't get that lean muscle mass from drinking "Mass Gainer" products - although that's what the advertising wants us to believe.Originally Posted by johnnymctrance
I'd like to see better regulations in that industry one day. I'm sure many products would be pulled for false claims.
It amazes me that the FDA will ban Amazon.com from selling bacteriostatic water and yet let the nutrition stores peddle their poisons. Seems a little ass-backwards huh????![]()
LOL very much so....Or taking 'beta alanine'.... ive read peoples treads claiming unbelievable strength gains and lean gains from taking beta alanine... and everybody is replying to the tread saying that ther going to go straight out ad purchase it because they have just read that Bulls**t thread haha...and im sure bacteriostatic water has other uses![]()
So true. There certainly are some products that are beneficial but I agree, many don't live up to all the hype around them.Originally Posted by johnnymctrance

Its the only one that works that i have personally used with positive results.
The whole thing is the reason why those things that work are illegal is because they work. Nobody will ever outlaw stuff like Ageless Male simply because it doesn't do what it claims it will.
And the supplement industry is a whole lot of money based around false promises and other bullshit. If the government stepped in and regulated the industry, there would be billions lost.
Don't bother!

Test boosters are generally a waste of money.
