I was doing squats. I did my usual warm up first and I was feeling some pain and tightness in my inner thigh. (The Adductor muscle???)
My second set of squats I went heavier and it didn't bother me as much, I was able to go deep.
My 3rd set of squats I went HEAVY and deep and I could feel some pain/tightness there when I went really deep.
My 4th set of squats I dropped some of the weight so I could do them nice and slow with good form. Since I wasn't feeling pain I decided to go deep and at the bottom of my squat I felt a sharp pain, my right leg buckled out then popped back in and heard a sound like velco tearing.
I was in LOTS of pain. I had to stop and laid back on a bench. I was in so much pain I couldn't sit up. My training partner had to help me up. It's small and high in my groin area. I don't feel pain running all the way down my inner thigh. My training partner is a doctor and he checked for a hernia and it's not a hernia. He said it may be a partial tear but he couldn't tell and I should go see someone.
I waited about 15 mins and I was able to get up walk around and keep working legs. I was able to do leg extensions without feeling pain and I was able to train calves. Then I limped home.
Did I pull or tear the abductor muscle? I was planning to do a show in 12 weeks.![]()
