Back from a 4 week vacation. I think that is the longest I have taken and it felt good.
3 weeks in the Philippines and 1 week in Cambodia.
Wife wanted to visit Cambodia since she liked Thailand and we though it would be similar. Long story short its not even close and we have no plans on going back for multiple reasons. Wasted week.
Philippines was good. Only had to do a little work on our house there and spent a lot of time visiting the indigenous tribes in the mountains bringing them care packages or Rice, sardines, soap, detergent and some other essentials. We also brought 72 pairs of shoes/sandals for the kids in one of the places we visited as well as a couple large tubs of ice cream and balloons on Valentines day. We made ready prep meals another time and took them to another little village while also bringing treats for the kids.
The adults are grateful and surprised its not attached to religion or politics. We just do it because we can. The kids mostly have fun giving me the guided tour of their homes and neighborhood. The parents are surprised and shocked because they said none of the other tourist who come there (very very few) want anything to do with any of the adults or kids and only pass through because a local girl is dating them. I do prefer the kids over the adults because the men always want me to drink with them or for me to buy them alcohol. I just tell them I dont drink.

Im still now sure if its funny of sad that I was asked MANY times running around the local town with my nieces who are 12 & 13 if one of them was my wife or girlfriend.I guess there are still some arranged marriages that go on there but really??
It was a successful vacation though. I came back broke and lost 13 lbs.I always loose weight on vacation due to being a lot more active.
