A joke will be taken as anti semitic if the one telling it is one, and just as well will be taken as a joke if you know the person telling it doesn't hate you. For example, I won't laugh if M'guy told me a Holocaust joke, but I probably will if my friends told me one.

Understood. I feel the same way about racial jokes. Depends if you know the person and also on their intent.
