i would say
Roberto "hands of stone" Duran
and Ray "boom boom" Mancini

gotta go with roy jones...
i seen roy jones fight live in indianapolis once like a year or 2 ago
you think hes fast on tv
lol
hes amazing
George Foreman. Tremendous power in both hands. And he won the title at age 44 or something.. Just think what he could have done in his prime to the boxers today. Destroy comes to mind right away.![]()
Mike Tyson. Hes an animal and he will never lose again. If he fights
Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield. I've never seen another fighter with so much heart.
going old school but ..... joe lewis was the man . Rocky marciano was the shit too. when i was in high school they used to play the old fights on one of the local channels around here it was the best.![]()
Ali
I'd have to go with Shane Mosely or Roy Jones jr.
as far as old school goes Rocky marciano was the man , never lost and was unlikely too. now dayz id have to go w/ roy jones , great combo of speed and power.
Tyson of course............no matter what he does hell always draw the crowd....
ali for flair.....tyson for raw power !!
Jersey Joe Walcott!
He was somewhat black listed becuase at a young age he was a sparring partner for Joe Louis and knocked him out a few times! And the story goes that he just couldn't get a shot at the titile 'til age 36 and then he gets a young Rocky Marciano.
rocky maricano was like unbeaten, and he beat joe lewisthe guy was unbelievable. I like the movie about him where john farveau played him. he was massive!
peaker
Roy Jones Jr. And he's also super HOT!
whoops got carried away there, yes, it's Roy Jones Jr.![]()
One today is worth two tomorrows.
Iron Mike
Roy Jones won't ever fight anybody worth while. He COULD move up a weight class, but why do that when he's raking in millions fighting gutless punks!?!?
werd Diesel
Marvelous Marvin Hagler
almost forgot about him
Jones vs. Hopkins II. That would be a classic but Jones doesn't seem like he wants it.
Sugar w/out a doubt.
Anyone who thinks Mike Tyson is the all time is obviously not a fan of the sport. Mike Tyson is a disgrace to boxing. Yes he draws crowds, but he would be better suited on Jerry Springer or the WWF. He is a joke and disrespects the sport by the way he fights. Mike Tyson is the last person I want to rep boxing.
Mike
Now tell us how you really feel about Mike Tyson and dont hold back this time.... lol
i agree w/ yah but he is damn fun to watch
Tyson is a bum period .
That jersey joe - rocky fight was awesome.
![]()
Ali was the greatest in my opinion.. after seeing the movie, i got a whole new respect for him. the man fought for 20 some years and kicked ass. especially foreman in the rumble in the jungle!
Big J![]()
Rocky Marciano is the greatest of all time when he retired he was undefeated
he only weighed 180 but he boxed guys that weighed 230 and even more
and Marciano could have torn apart Ali
the movie man !?!? watch some of his old fights! then youll really respect him. watch him play with liston like a toy. or watch the one when he rope a doped forman and leveled him. espn classic dude. and by the way tyson is funny and i like him but he is a fool to the sport. he was good when he was 19 and before prision. not now.Originally Posted by BIG_JDAWG

ok man.first of all ali was way bigger. second, ali reinvented the sport that marciano was good at. the style of boxing that rocky was into could never hang with ali's dodgin and dancin.Originally Posted by Apoc

DD, good choice. Marvalous Marvin hagler. Man was he robbed. Foreman in the day. Ive never seen anything like it. he was a force of nature a la Iron Mike. but like Mike, once he got beat (Rumble in the Jungle) he was never the same. But that was the most masterful performance of a boxer ever. Ali just plain out-thought Foreman. Roy Jones is also pretty awesome, but picks his fights too much.
there is a guy who comes to mind, I can't remember his name... he had a batman shaved into his head. fought lightweight or something. he was awesome. would take all comers. just fought till he was too old. was like 40 years old and fighting the golden boy.
Roy jones
Ali even though i dont agree with his political view he is still one of the greatest
o yea i forgot about Iron Mike Tyson also one of the greatest in him prime in my book
Tyson of old. He was unstoppable.
I remember Razor Ruddock gave Tyson a right hook that would have decapitated most men...Tyson took the punch and then won the match. Right after the match Tyson said that Razor's punches "were like a fucking mule kick...oh...excuse my French." Haha classic Tyson!
Now he's embarassing.
Tyson in the early years .. and Roy Jones Jr. if he became a little more serious about being the best.

Angel Manfreddy.
ROCKY BALBOA!!!! no seriously. Mike Tyson. I love fighters who are just crazy as hell and don't care. He fits the bill.
Did Vladimir klitchgo (sp) and Lenox Lewis fight yet???
For pure excitement and Arturo Gatti has to be the most exciting fighter at present. A fight between him and Britains Ricky Hatton would be very interesting.
Welterweight champ Ricardo Mayorga is also one to watch.
My favourite fighter of the modern era would have to be Roberto Duran. He was absolutely relentless and had very underrated defensive skills.
Willie Pep was the best defensive boxer of all-time, he once won a round without throwing a punch!
Danish lightweight Battling Nelson was probably the fiercest warrior in boxings history, he withstood such brutal punishment it was incredible.
My all-time favourite has to be John L. Sullivan the last bare-knuckle heavyweight champion of the world.
damn right he's an animal and should be caged at all times unless in the ring...=POriginally Posted by Ray

Tyson in my eyes is the most exciting boxer to watch just for the simple fact that you never know whats gonna happen next.....21 sec knock out, bite an ear,get a couple rape charges here and there..........I think He'd still be the undisputed heavy weight champion if he still had Kevin Rooney in his corner to think anything else would be (ludacris)
