I picked Jamaica....I love the accent that Jamacains have....it treats the English language with beauty and splendour, and gives it a grace not heard in any other English speaking countries.

Cuba at least until about 40 years ago, WAS a beautiful place, especially at the resorts.

The only thing about Hawaii is that its a VERY expensive place to live if you are an ordinary person.

A gallon of milk is like $ 4.49 and I have heard that it's not uncommon to pay $ 2.00 for a gallon of gas.

I have a friend that was a cop in Honolulu for 2 ½ years and loved the weather but hated living there. He moved to Seattle, and now is on the force at Sea-Tac, making 25% more in salary with a much lower cost-of-living.

I live in Hawaii, and while it is one of the most beautiful places on earth, people forget that we actually do work down here. Everyone i talk to from the mainland seems to think it's a nonstop orgy of lauas and guava kava. Everyone i talk to is almost tired of being here, because it is a pretty small place, and you are, well, on an island. I suppose that it's a great place to be stuck. I'm not askin for sympathy

but just remember if you move to a tropical place, all the stupid shit follows you just like it would back home
