what prolly happend, just my guess, had bad info about amount of enemy forces somewhere, went in with to few and got into a gagglephuck. thats what i thought of when i heard about it on cnn, the gov will always make it out like we won, when we lost, im not saying that is wrong, chances are hi it is tho. our military intel is great, but sometimes i can assure you its way off and so beyond belief that it gets ppl hurt. which id say is the case here, they had to be extremely outnumbered, and being on the bottom of a ridge tryin to fight a force at a higer elevation is beyond insane and im just proud to say i was in the same batt..
