Actually this is not true. When you apply for life insurance, they require you to put down the doctors you have used in the past X number of years. THey then run an insurance check on your social security number to see what claims have been filed on that number. If you used insurance with this doc, it will show up for at least the next decade I believe. THey then send requests to all docs on the list for medical records.

As for mortgage, etc. thats a load of cr#p. All they care about are your assets and credit score.
