Many times I have gotten into a rut where all it seemed I was doing was going through the motions. So what I do is make some kind of short term goal. For example...increase my bench or squat in a 6 to 8 week period. Or trim some bodyfat off for summer. Right now I'm trying to get more definition for summer. Even though some of us are getting older we still want to look good! So my suggestion would be to set up some kind of short term goal for yourself.
