    Four Mounties die in shootout

    Hey any of you Canadian bruddas involved... JK RIP RCMP!

    Four Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers were shot and killed during a raid on a marijuana-growing operation in rural Alberta Thursday, in one of the bloodiest days in the history of the national police force, a senior official said.

    man you hate to see any honest officer killed no matter what country its from.. sad news.. esp over some pot thats what erks me. i could see some large cocain processing plant but pot?? how can one guy take out 4 officers? crazy

    Yes it sucks.. It really makes me wonder though how one pot head took out 4 officers Makes me wonder if they were following protocol or what... but either way prayers for their families

    Yup, reading on CTV news site, apparently the crackpot just opened up on the cops with an assault rifle. In a wide open ranch they never had a chance.

    Shame the suspect shot himself after... I'm sure a lot of cops would have liked to have a "word" with him...

    Normal vests don't do much when you're being snipered with a high power assault rifle...

    From what I've read, 2 constables were killed instantly and 2 managed to scramble, 1 fired back a few shots but they were both snipered.

    I guess we'll know more when the investigation is a little more advanced.

    How the hell can a pot smoker have such good aim? Hell, I can't even hit the center of the toilet when I'm buzzed.

    What a shame, really, all those men were still so young. And all that over some pot.....what a waste that guy was.

    The guy could of been on meth or something else, but growing weed to support his habit and make some bucks without the suspicions of a person buying alot of chemicals, ect. Nowdays you never know. Shame.
