    Question about powders

    I'm getting ready to place a powder order that should last me for a long time.What i was wondering,when powders arrive should i do them all at that time...I'm a newbie to making my own stuff,first time to be exact, but have read tons of info on it...thanks for any help

    Make what you need and keep the rest of the powders in a cool dark place.

    you could, or just put it in an airtight container. good luck on the brew

    I make enough for about 2 years at a time. Everyone seems to like to keep it in powder form when not in use right away, but I believe that homebrew is no different from lab grade gear, so should last for 5 years. Their is no"secret" formula in lab gear that differs from homebrew and their expiry dates are about 5 years. Still, keep your gear in a dark cool place. I put mine in my safe.

    it is a great idea, that is what I do. I got one of those food savers.
