Having said that, Vicodin (and at least McBain knows how to spell it correctly ) is effective for pain, although not the strongest medication around. It's analgesic base, however, is Tylenol (acetominophen), so if Tylenol toxicity is a potential problem for you, Vicodin is contraindicated.
