Planing on doing my shot i the delt but the smallest pin i got is 23G x 1 ¼ and the recommended size was 25 Gauge, 5/8 inch. Is it good to go anyway or will mess up my shoulder?

It will still work OK.
You don't have to push the needle all the way in. 5/8" to 1" will be plenty.

Don't buy any 5/8" pins anyway. That is just dumb. Go ahead and get 1-1/2" pins because they are more versatile. You can use the long pin ANYWHERE, dig? The short pin still leaves you needing long ones for glutes.
Congrats on a successful first delt shot. Try pecs... sweet!
