alot of people will slit their wrists not to kill themselves, but to transfer the emotional pain into physical pain. its sort of like an emotional distraction. they are refferred to as "cutters". i use to see it alot when i worked in a theraputic group home.

    get yourself some counselling bor.

Really do not need to know how to handle one....its not like you need to be careful. You could of jumped off a roof of a tall building, jumped in front of a train or truck.

I understand that you need some help, and maybe this escapade was easier than asking for help....but I do not see how. Unless you are not getting enough attention from your loved ones....than, congradulations....you achieved your goal of getting some attention.

I do not mean to sound cold, as I do really feel for you, bro. Get some help....just make sure it is for the real underlying problem.

Sorry for your pain dude. Trying to kill yourself is just retarded. Get some professional help, you need it. Lay off the drugs and alcohol.

Friend of mine (RIP) shot himself in the head w/ a .22. He lay there, on the floor for 20 hours until he bled out. Nice sight for his returning family.

2 years ago I was in your position, life feelt utterly worthless. I cut myself a few times but never had the guts to go through with it. Deep down, very deep down I still wanted to live. If you search real hard you will find that not everything is darkness. Focus on the small things, enjoy how good food tastes, how nice a workout is. All those small things that you still now do everyday.

There is always a reason to live, no matter how small. Always something you deep down want to do, want to acomplish. Dont let yourself down by giving up.

Getting out of a depression is hard, its one of the hardest things in the world. But things always gets better bro. Always.

mental clinics.... they make u worse..... went there for anger management...
but there was lots of cutters up there.....they didnt want to die.... they just wanted to cut theirselves to relieve pain, like a smoker smokes when they feel stressed.......up and down cuts were for attention.....across meant u were serious about what was going on..... i think is what the saying was.
but clinic is bad place to go, they make u feel worse and stupid in my opinion cuz the staff puts shit in ur head ><
try talking to a really good friend , or go see a professional.

Swole is right, taking your own life is a selfish act. And it's a coward's way out.
I can't believe how ungreatful you are for your life.
There are those who died young and DIDN"T GET TO FINISH THEIRS AND YOU WANT THROW YOURS AWAY!!!
It's a part of me to live MY life as best I can in honor of those who didn't get to finish theirs!

You think whatever you have is REAL PAIN MOTHER ****ER!! Try LIVING with that shit for your ENTIRE LIFE, and THAT IS REAL SUFFERING.

I won't shed a tear for someone who takes their own life. It's a gift, and you should be greatful you get to live it when others didn't. The bad things are a part of life, and they should be welcomed just as much as the good things. I enjoy every minute of my life no matter how shitty it was and may get.

Maybe you take everything in life so ****ing personal like you were destined to endure whatever it is you go through. And you may be destined, so learn to accept it because life goes on.

Calm down bro. Lets not get like that. Although it's very easy to say you should live and cherish your life, many people are paralysed by mental illnesses and trust me, its not easy going on. Bor was just having a "cry for help" moment in his life, thats all.

He left his two kids to find him. The oldest, a boy woke up with the sound of the shotgun, and found his dad dead, then his mother dead. If you're going to take the cowards way out, at least do it in a way that you don't make it any harder on your family.
As a parent, this story almost made me cry...I am not sure how any parent could do this to their kids.

Bor - stay alive bro. Stick through this...find your purpose and go for it. I am praying for you...

This thread is scary. First that Bor went that far because he was hurting that bad. I wish you the best, talk to someone, look long & hard at your loved ones.
Second GQ-Bouncer I hope you were kidding. These type of thoughts are sick. I realize you are young and hopefully kidding but it was a serious thread.

Those that are calling Bor a coward and disrespecting him need to stop now. Unless you have been seriously depressed for a long time yourself you have no idea what its like.

Bor, A lot of us are responding because we want to see a bro get a fair shot at life. Every day, every hour, and every minute are an opportunity to change that which causes you pain. Pick up your yellow pages, find a counselor and get some help. When you get stressed and depressed you don't think straight. Take control of your situation by talking to a pro. If if you sort this out you'll come out stronger then before with a better understanding of who you are. Christ buddy! you're 24! You've got your whole life ahead of you. If you feel like hurting yourself talk to a friend about it by phone or even get on here and we'll help you figure it out. Peace.

Bullshit. Somebody needs to stand this BOY up and slap him silly. Then lock his *************up until he is GROWN UP enough to function in society. If you are clinically depressed, take the right meds, seek professional help, and grow the fvck up.

I edited out a insult. Dont do it again - Johan

Like I said its ****ing easy to say that if you havent been in that position. You cant just shake off a depression and meds aint exactly the solution to everything.

But a shrink would be a good idea.

I know this is a AAS, Bodybuilding site and we use it for help in these areas but if someone is having personal problems and they post it here actually looking for some help (even if they come out and ask for it) don't kick them when they are down.

It's fine to be stern with someone in this state but have some compassion. I can't count how many times I have seen "My Girl Left Me", "My Girl Cheated on Me", "I'm Lonely" posted here.......... Just like with these threads people are looking for some encouragement and some words to make them feel a little better about a shitty situation the same should be done here. Depression is no joke and if you haven't been in that state you don;t know what a person that is feels.

I'm saddened to hear that things have gotten that painful for you - that you'd attempt to kill yourself. I'm hoping that you will follow up with the help you need to make sure that you never find yourself in that position again. Good luck.

OK, dude you obviously need help. So, I'm here to help. When you slit your wrists, you have to do it in a line down the veins, NOT ACROSS! Then you stick them in a toilet, and flush. This will syphon out the blood faster.
I know this sounds complicated, but you're the one who doesn't own a pistol or know how to handle it.
So, go buy a gun that's burned .357 caliber or bigger. Don't need to worry about the serial numbers or changing the pattern of the rifle drill in the barrel. Just go buy some hollow points. A hollow point bullet will blow a biger hole out the back of your head compared to a normal bullet. Put the barrel in your mouth far back as you can with out gagging and pull the trigger.
Even easier than that is to get a syringe and put a whole bunch of air into one of your veins. Just push it slow, so the bubble doesn't pop your vien and makes it all the way to your heart to give it a heart attack.
Barring all that, get psychiatric help and lots of counsling. Good luck.

Its sad to se that so many are acting like this in this thread. This board has helped me through troubbled times in the past and alot of others. Why has that changed?
If someone asks for help or just wants to talk in real life do you kick them down?
