I did 1cc of test cyp. 300mg first time 2 days ago. The shot didn't hurt, but the next morning it felt like a charlie horse on my ass. The next morning it was even worse, and a visual bruse the size of an open hand. Can anyone explain, or tell me if this is normal?

did you use a 1.5" pin?
Did you clean the vial top and the site area before injection?
Did you aspirate?
Did you move the needle at all?
Did it bleed after you "pulled out"?
Was this your first injection ever?

Yes first shot ever. Only had 1 inch needle. I might have moved around being pretty nervous. It did bleed a little after being pulled out. Just droplets. Cleaned sight with alcohol, new needle. I heard if you sleep on the site it could make it more sore. But I don't know, I just don't want it to be infected.

It may be a reaction to a foreign substance, something your body has never experienced before. My first shot hurt for 5-7 days but was ok. Wait it out and keep an eye on it.

Use a 1.5" needle from now on. If you don't have one, don;t shoot your glutes. Shoot your quads or delts with 1".Originally Posted by rattboy
Sounds like you either nicked a blood vessel or injected too shallow.
Plus, it's a virgin muscle and you were probably shaking the pin all over the place since it was your first shot. This would account for som soreness.

Probably was just to shallow. Inject deeper next time. Plus make sure to massage the site after inject. You'd be supprised at how much it could help.

Yep. Massage after and take a hot shower after. Put a heating pad on it tonight 20 min on, 20 min off. Do this a few times before bed.

no doubt you were probably just a little nervous and were moving around too much. I know that no matter how steady I am, my quads will hurt like heck for 4 days...

If you don't have 1" pins, you shouldn't even try a glute again until you have 1.5"s. I like quads, especially since you're new to this. You can use both hands and see exactly what you're doing (plus you can use 1" needles). IMO, they don't hurt any more than delts, but everyone's different. I little soreness in a quad is better than a fist-size nasty bruise on your ass, especially since it sounds like you didnt get much gear in the muscle on your first attempt.

Thanks for the input. I hope it goes better next shot. I didn,t message at all, but was pin deep. I will get some 1.5" pins. Thing is I had a buddy use 1" pins one hole cycle with no problems, so I tried. I did have a fresh needle though. But it is def. sore, I almost started to limp today. Tonight will be 24 hours, I will keep an eye on it. Thanks again.

My first Cyp shot hurt like hell. i just got it from a buddy of mine and unfortunately its QV. BTW anyone that has ever seen cypionate up close or in a syringe what color is the liquid because i have an itching suspicion that the gear may be fake even though the box and vial look legit.

If you have never done this, let me try to describe something that may have been missed above.
When injecting, first make sure you are not making a muscle in your glute when injecting. Also, try to get some speed going as you inject. If you just start to push it in, you may flex your glute muscle. This will give you a slight tearing feeling as you press in the needle. You should get some speed going, so the needle goes all the way in on one jab. You should do it hard enough that the whole needle goes in. Dont do it a little, then press the rest of the way. You want to be going fast enough that the weight of your hand just slides the needle all the way in. I hope this has helped a little and you will get better with practice.

I almost started a thread asking the same thing.
I shot deca in one glute and cyp in the other. The side with the deca is fine and the side with the cyp is still sore! I shot it on Sunday, and yesterday it got progressively worse (Not that much pain, but enough) and is still pretty sore today. No bruising but pretty damn sore.
I chalked it up to me being shakey and/or my first time shooting test and my body is trying to reject it.
I'm shakey like crazy because I haven't shot in a long time and never with test.

First of all, Bro, I love your name. Dammit, I wish I thought of that.
Anyways, to answer your ?, try cutting the deca and your test together. Dose accordingly. The deca should take the sting out of it. I also think it has more to do with moving needles than the gear.

Anyway, I've read all the threads/articels on infection and such so I'll defenitely keep an eye on it just in case.

upper outer quarter of the glute is where you shoot.......you will always get some discomfort if you are injecting into a virgin muscle so this is prolly the reason for the pain.....hopefully...imo...

2nd Cycle started late last week ...
Week 1-8 Test Cyp 400mg / week
Week 1-12 Deca 300mg / week
Week 6-12 Winny 100mg eod (Or 50/day - Up for debate and how well I do with shots)
Weeks 1-10 Arimadex
Weeks 12 - ... Clomid

1-12 400mg cyp
1-11 300mg deca
10-14 50mg ed winny
run it like this bacause this is how these compounds should be ran....start pct/clomid therapy 18 days after your last shot of cyp......

So I have to buy more cyp and get rid of some deca and winny. I'm not opposed to that, just a bit of an ordeal, BUT if you say that's going to make that big of a difference then that's what I'll do! I have a little time anyway

Do it.
You shouldn't run Deca or EQ at higher doses or for a longer period than your test. Your doses look good, but just because you bought more deca than test doesn;t mean it's Ok to run it longer.

I'm not just doing it because I ended up with more, I bought more based on things I've read. Like for instance this chart

Sorry, that chart says to run it as long as the deca, my mistake. What happened was, I planned on doing 300/week of test as well as deca but a few people told me my test should be higher so I changed it to 400/week before I started. Didn't think ending it earlier would matter much but I guess it does. Thanx all for the help, I'll be sure to make the adjustments. Not that big of an adjustment either. I just need to get a bit more test is all really.
