let me preface this by saying I am a HUGE Dorian fan... made several pilgrimages to see him guest pose or compete... the man is huge and freaky... ok with that being said, Dorian is known for training heavy and intense, this is his calling card (or was) but training heavier doesn't always equate to training smarter.... there are two different physiques... what you then say is that a Frank Zane didn't train hard (I use him as an example because 1) he isn't a mass monster and 2) I personally know a couple of his old training partners) Believe me to get to that level they all train hard, what you see as a finished product does not translate into who trained the hardest (in this senerio at least) but both athelets knowing their body, thus train smarter... and yes training smarter can also mean train intensely... there was a time when Flex (and Frank...since I mentioned him) tried to play the mass game... it didn't fit their body and didn't translate well in the final product, Dorian couldn't compete in that world, he doesn't have the genetics to do so, so he trained for a different look... his marketing has pushed the fact he trains hard, hell his video is called "Blood & Guts" can't get more of a hardcore name than that BUT he does not hold the market on training intensity...

I don't think anyone holds the market exclusively
genetics will get you so far
diet will get you so far
training will get you so far
drugs will get you so far
so on and so forth ... you get the point...
It's discipline that binds it all, at that level, nobody can rely on any one thing mentioned above more than the other... as far as the vid goes, it's a vid... is it indicative of all his training? Is it even a good representation? I don't know. I remember seeing pics of Flex when he first started out and he was a skinny little thing, I have to think that a mix of all elements including training like a madman went into building a physique such as his...
