....geeze..doesnt seem like everyother day some lunatic is kidnapping kids/teens???i'm glad the last two were found alive..being a single father myself i'm gonna keep my kid extra close from now on, as everyone should do...i dont think anyone can say "THAT WONT HAPPEN HERE WHERE I LIVE"...

It's always been going on it's just now that the media is covering it so much. Just like the shark attacks last summer. I'm glad that they are starting to put some pressure on these criminals but what about all those people who have lost children in the past. Why is it that Jean Bennet had so much publicity but they still can't find that little black girl in Florida.

I totaaly agree with you Cali. My girl is two and she cant even budge without me or my wife being on her little butt !

Its sad but I will have to raise with the grim reality of the world today.

Not defending the last case, but what the HELL were their parents thinking letting them be out at 2:00am ???!!! In the same freaking state where a girl was killed two weeks ago ?

God I hate this topic.. I live in a nice area of Tampa, and right down the road about 2 miles some dude was crashing at his friends house and the next morning the BABY -6 MONTHS OLD was missing. His "budy"aped a month old strangled her and left her in the woods mind youit was about 93 degrees outsise. Thay found the little girl alive, but how do you explain that down the road..

No, actually I didn't. Is there something wrong with teaching my son preventative measures? If he learns one thing that keeps him from being hurt, lost, kidnapped or killed then it was time well spent.

.....its no longer a world like 'IT WONT HAPPEN TO ME' cause just when you think that your kids or someone that you know who has kids is missing... hell i'm in my mid thirties and i still dont talk to strangers...but when ever someone trys to act sorta crazy (verberly)at me i act alittle crazier back at them....its kinda funny how much people front on you....

Ok this was a serius thread so i should act my age.

I think it´s great you take every measure posible to teach your children whats right/wrong/safe/dangerus etc however what i meant was if a grown man wants to snatch a kid of the street it´s not that hard. All the education in the world wouldnt help them then would it? Sure educate them but thinking thats going to keep them safe is ignorant.
