plus a little bit of that shit in your avi...hehe

btw Rake, if you're really interested in studying both sides of this "argument" (frankly i don't think there is one, but i'll encourage you to go against the grain everynowandthen--it's how we all learn), then i would suggest picking up a copy of 'Nutrient Timing'...John Ivy is one of the leading pioneers in sports nutrition, and they've done just about every major study involving protein synthesis you can imagine...they are advocates of whey protein in PWO shakes, and there is a clear reason why, at least in terms of in vitro studies at the cellular level. to say it's "crap" isn't saying much on your end either...are there huge differences in terms of real world gains from ingesting whey instead of regular food or other powder supps? maybe not, but whey is pretty cheap nowadays, and there are benefits of taking it PWO, it's all about optimization nowadays, even if it only correlates with small increases in actualized gains...

just take time to read up on both sides of any argument, it will help you not to sound so frikin' retarted in the future...

I'M NOT EVEN GOING TO READ THAT CRAP AND WAIST MY TIME. THE ONLY SUPPS I TAKE ARE WHEY AND AAS. I'VE USED EVERY TYPE OF DIFFERENT SUPP ON THE MARKET, SPENT A LOT OF MONEY, AND OVER THE YEARS, IN MY EXPERIENCE, WHEY PROTEIN IS THE BEST BAR-NONE.

I'M 240 LBS, WITHOUT WHEY, I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO REACH MY PROTEIN INTAKE FOR THE DAY, AND I CAN EAT LIKE A HORSE.

WITHOUT WHEY, IN MY OPINION, MOST OF US CAN SAY WE WOULD NOT BE WHERE WE ARE TODAY.

I take whey postworkout like everyone else around here, but I wonder how much it actually benefits me. The above article that I posted really bashes the hell out of the supplementation of whey and made me more wary of wasting money on it. There were sections of the article that made me think that it was actually more catabolic than anabolic.

Anyways I'm so acustomed to supplementing with whey that I'll probably never attempt to go without it....

I do aswell take it after my workout. I went to talk to my doctor recently about my puffy nipples (gyno I though) and he told me not to really worry about it untill there was a noticable lump. We got on the subject of protein supplements and he said himself they are pretty much a joke to rely on them and said its good to take already made to the gym to drink on the ride home but besides that they are a waste of money compared to whole foods.

lately i received some info too that whey was useless , and now there is a true protein powder its Hemp protein anyone heard of it , sometimes i get fed up of all this , there is too much money involved how come before the whey boom like the 70 's 80's there was no whey but there were still body builders whey changed nothing exept our wallet as i think i have spent a small fortune on whey protein and i think if in these last 10 years i did not take whey i would have been the same as i am today
