there are some things suggesting that a high peak in amino acid levels can be extra benifical to protein synthesis so I think a shake before a meal might be a good idea.

But I dont know if it would make any real world difference. Cant hurt if you have trouble getting enough protein atleast Like IBD say perfect for bulking.
