i have been making chicken cutlets a lot lately, breading them with whole wheat crumbs and baking them in the oven. i use 1 egg to batter them and barely use half of it...are these ok for cutting?

I would only add the bread crumbs if I were bulking.
how bad is like a 1/4 cup of baked whole wheat bread crumbs baked till they are toasted??? each cutlet barely has any..not like real chicken cutlets. adds a crunch, a taste. god forbid.Originally Posted by audis4
I'd ditch the bread comes i'm. There is alot of thing you can do with Chicken or Chicken Breasts ...Diffrent sauces, stuff it with veggies etc...
if its a protein/carb meal go for the bread crumbs as long as your not soaking them with oil before you bake them. in another words i think they are fine as long as you count those calories toward your overall carb intake
why not use like crushed oats?
never thought of that, its worth a shot i've eaten worse thats for sure!Originally Posted by audis4
no oil at all...i spray the cooking tray with pam, and just bake em...seems pretty clean if u ask me.Originally Posted by zodiac666

oats w/ egg whites on chk breast pieces isnt bad . have a correct diffping sauce and it is awesome for a little cheater. wouldnt do it every day tho. good for mixing it up.
acutally chicken baked or grilled with oats would be a perfect pro/carb meal.Originally Posted by ricogl40

how would chicken, oatmeal, and egg whites be a cheater?Originally Posted by ricogl40
I dont think it is.. example your eating one breast with on yolk and 3/4 cup oats..
use the 1/4 oats ,breast ,white to make the batter (cutlet)
fry with pam
then eat the remaining .5c
Pro/carb meal
