    Why must a break cause you to hate each others' guts?

    I think it takes time apart to get over the pain you caused each other before you can be friends. I am friends with one of my ex's who broke up with me because his parents are racist. They threatened to cut him off financially if he did not break up with me. It took a couple of years before I would speak to him again.

    I am not friends with any one who as cheated on me. There is no way in hell I'd trust them again even just as friends.

    Were his parents rich?, Would they have minded him having a white BF? That is Ffed up!

    Yeah they were wealthy. He's a Ph.D., MD. His parents were paying off his school bills and paying for his house. They were racist and not happy he was with me and preferred he date someone White. Basically told him to break up or he's on his own. He chose money. That showed me his true character so in the end I was better off.

    I find that older people are much more close minded as they are stuck in the "old way" of things. Its different when you grow up with people of different color/sexuality.
