    my boy...

    am a very happy father....
    my boy is 12 and has just been told he is in the top 5% of gifted and talented youngsters in the whole of the UK...................

    if you cannot post anything positive dont post in this thread at all thankyou...........................

    The problem with that is when you have a really smart kid they can figure out ways to fool you easier and get away with stuff. Start saving for bail money

    he definiatly hasnt got my brains,ive gotta sighn him up to some sort of academy where he can go to lectures and allsorts of things,hes quite excited.........

    Yeah, I dont know what its like over there but in some places we have programs for gifted youth. Our city got one a couple years ago.

    to be honest i dont really know,i think it may have been several tests in most of the subjects and then all the info has been put together,i think this has been over the last few years..........

    hey mate congratulations, your boy is doing well but he really will need you over the years to encourage and make him do the work if he dosnt automaticly have the mentality for it, i remember when i was 11/12 i scored the highest % in all my tests arround the state and was looking at that, sadly with no will power at that age or perants kicking my ass by 14 i could barely pass math.

    so just encourage *which i know you will* and support and he will make it!!

    Defenetly encourage him.

    In grade 3-6 I was consiered a wonder kid by my teachers, in grade 7-9 I had the best grades in school and I never had to do any maths since I finished the 9th grade math in 7th grade.

    In high school I started slipping. I got avarage grades, didnt give a shit about anything, almost never went to any classes at all. Had plenty of attitude towards the teachers, hell I resented most of them.

    My first year at university was a utter disaster. I failed everything that I could fail.

    So its way to easy to slip. Keep that boy sharp Drown him in popular science books and make sure his teachers are challanging him so he doesnt grow bored with learning.

    i understand exactly what you are saying mate,only thing is i have just split from my wife over the last coupla weeks,what fvckin bad timing or what?????????
