I like it, good intuitive OS if you ask me, got some nice features and it integrates well with my home media gear.

Lots of people are having trouble though as they simply dont have enough RAM or procesor power.

You say you rated 3.4, that's ok but as the demands increase with appz running you could find that you'll be running low on steam. This machine I'm on now rated a 2.9 until I upgraded the RAM to 1.5GB, but it's only an internet machine so I'm not fussed.

My 2nd machine is mainly for video/photo work and for business appz. That's running 5.3 I think, but that does have 4GB of RAM so can't complain.

3.4 is damn good IMO and it runs awesome and looks even better (aero).

Here is what i am running:

    P4 3.0Ghz HT
    2GB Platinum OCZ DDR PC4000
    400GB HDD
    9600 ATI All-In-Wonder 256MB DDR

I had no problems with Vista, i am having issues with XP since removing Vista.

I have Vista Business RTM and it is a legit copy. Your rating in Vista is based on your lowest sub score, i can't remember what kept mine at 3.4

Probably the graphics card, the graphics is one of the lowest rated categories as it is allowing lots of room for expansion over the next 8 or so years.

Yeah, i think that might have been it. I am going to reinstall Vista because XP is ****ing jacked up big time, i cannot download SP2 because the OS crashes everytime.

i had vista ultimate installed for awhile i really liked it. My rating was like a 3.5 or something my video card really killed my rating as its pretty old its definitely a pretty os due to not finding a few drivers and not getting my printer to work i had to go back to xp

Clean install is always the way to go!!

Or run dual OS, that's what I do on 2nd machine coz I just cant get some programs to run on Vista yet!!

Either run dual on one HDD or you could even partition a big drive. Say 10GB, 10GB, xxGB. On each of the 10GB partitions install your OS and use the remaing partition to store all your files you wanna use across both systems!!

This works very well for me!!
