let's stir it up a bit...

here's an idea, i'm bored but it's an interesting thought i think...anyhow, instead of immediately bashing newbies and first-timers with the whole "you're too yound, you need to wait, you need to gain more naturally, etc.", why not mention that of course, but also make sure to throw in some sound advice as well? i mean, lately i've seen more of it...you get the thrashers of course, but some bros eventually toss in an answer to the actual question...

here's the reality of it all...these guys are going to do something, whether they get the advice from some idiot at the gym and totally **** themselves up, or they get it from some of the overly-qualified vets here...don't fool yourselves into thinking (even if they type it) that they're gonna wait...i wish everyday that i had the extensive knowledge of this board (and it's members) at my disposal 13 years ago, or even 10 years ago...i listened to whatever dumbass looked like he knew his shit...

or, maybe this...see if you can restrict new members to the stickies, and only allow them access to the profile sections, and diet, training and supp forums...don't know exactly how this would go down...anyhow, make them attain a certain number of replies or logged-in hours (might be tricky) before they can even access the anabolic forums...??? hmm??? i dunno, just some thoughts is all...

you got a good point there.

better people help newbies out rather then just saying that they should do there research and shit.
cuz if they have set there mind to something, they probebly will not change it.

    Stir what up?

    WTF are you talking about?

I think I give solid advice to newbies as well as experienced members alike...here is just an example:

    http://forums.steroid.com/showthread.php?t=280380

This board is way too big to weed out the blind and make it exclusively available to the overly knowledgeable. Besides, it's a public board and if you want an exclusive board, there are plenty of them out there, just search around.

We all had to start somewhere right?

true, i mean, it doesn't matter how many people here tell you to wait, the fact is, you're new, so you likely hold little respect for this board or anyone here, yet (and i'm not saying you, just any newbie)...you know? if they were required to spend some time in other forums, get on the right track in the other, MOST important areas of bbing, then once they transitioned to this forum, they might be more respectful of any advice given...then again, they'd likely just go through the motions and we're back to square one...at that point, we're back to saving our breaths, and constantly, and i mean CONSTANTLY going over the same shit..."wait, youre too young, etc"

or make a new forum, newbies only, monitored/responded to solely by vets...give em the old speech, but then make sure they get the right answers, just in case they decide to do what we all know they're going to do...that way, they get the best advice possible...still reaching here...

Personally I dont like it when you have to walk someone throught from start to finish. If they have done a little reading and propose intelligent questions, I like them already.

nope, belive me, there are lots of other members here besides you, I ALREADY KNOW EXACTLY HOW MANY MEMBERS RESIDE AT THIS BOARD, BELIEVE ME.

and many do not do that, which is basically what i already said...didnt say weed anyone out and only make it exclusive, damn son, I AM NOT YOUR SON.

did you read ALL of the post? YES I DID.

i've been around here longer than some people, and i've seen this shit day in and out...NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE, YOU'RE ALWAYS GOING TO HAVE NEWBIES. GET USED TO IT.

no, my super post numbers aren't up there, probably because i don't post "wait, ur too young" every friggin' time a newbie posts...don't need to search around, my home is here and it'll stay that way...NOW YOU'RE STARTING TO SOUND RATHER REDUNDANT
Bottom line is, we all were newbies at one point or another. And whether beginner or pro, we ALL need somewhere to start.

    End of discussion.

I'm sorry but I disagree. Your right they may do a cycle anyways, but why help them out if they are to young...If a person was about to do their first injection of heroine and wanted to know how much, would you tell him just cause he may do it anyways or tell him don't that the shit could kill him..I know that there is a difference between heroine and gear but same principal should apply...If they are to young IMO we need to tell them that and give them no more info then that...I have already newbies on this board post there first cycle and have 3-4 different anabolics in it and be 19 yrs old...Then instead of someone saying your to young, they make a statement like stick to just 2-3 anabolics....

We all know a first cycle should consist of Test only 400-500mgs of test a week...Yet instead of pointing that direction to a sticky, others say it looks fine...I know theres no a sole on here in there 30's with several cycles on there belt telling them it's ok but others in there early 20's telling them it's ok cause that is what they did..So I will just continue to say to young and leave my post at that...I'm not going to tell a 16 yr old how much to drink or a 19 yr old how much gear to use...First I don't believe half the guys age they post...We don't know that they aren't 15 yrs old.

I agree. Many posts come off too preachy and are not in any way going to do what they are intended for. The guy is going to do it and needs some solid advice.

uhh, yeah, kinda figured there would always be newbies, actually, was the point of the orginal discussion really...maybe a better way to manage them. again, you're ONE guy, who thankfully, rather than immediately shun a noob for asking questions, does offer sound advice along with...and so you're telling me that the current method of MOST people dog-piling on the kid instead of giving him some expertise is acceptable? oh well, since your a monitor and all, hopefully you'll be right there to catch em all...didn't really mean you were my son guy, kinda like i don't really think youre my brother, but at some point, i might say "hey, thanks bro"...not now, but some day maybe...

thank you. There is more than enough knowledge around this site to learn. I remember when I joined all I wanted to do was read threads and learn. I was always scared to post a question

Exactly! I read the stickies and researched as much as I could before I even signed up to be a member. Telling someone they're not ready for AAS, when they are not ready for AAS is THE BEST advice anyone could give.

I normally try to balance a response to such question with a stern talking too + an answer to the question. People are more likely to illicit a positive response if they have at least read the profile section. Im fed up with spending my spare time helping ppl who are just too lazy to help themselves. If they cant be bothered to spend 2 hours reading that doesn't say much for there level of discipline when it comes to diet and training.
