The guy gave me some basic chords last ngight to one of his original chords so i went home and wrote the instrumental opn piano...and a verse to add in.

Went back to the bar today just planning on working out the kinks in his song with him..and put it all together

His drinking buddies were there so i got myself a smirnoff ice (blcak)... and didn't plan on buying anymore.

Next thing i know i see a bunch nmore smirnoffs next to mine. They bought me a shitload so i could 'catch up'. wtf.

So i thought.. i've got class at 5 p.m. It's 3 p.m. I'll polish these off, work on the instrumental and head to class.

I made the mistake of buying 'em a 'thank you' round of drinks.

It's traditional in Barbados that when you buy a round of drinks you have to buy one for youself.. or no one drinks.

Ok.. so i go one for myself and went back to the piano.

Next i know.. the smirnoff had babies.

We sang some more...Some guys came down and listened to us.

I stumbeld off to class.

Seriously I'm working on... I've got one alternative song and one alternative-fusion in the works. One jazz-fusion i'm working on...and a 'party song' which'll be a hip-hop/soca fusion hopefully..

I was just talking to my dad (who's been in entertainment for 12+ years) about what direction we should go this year. I think since i'm taking this year off from competing in bodybuilding that i'm going to return to performing full-time again.

Means i may have to pare down the physique to make it more marketable.. or at least stay near contest shape for the rest of the year.

Seems everyone in my family is into entertainment. My youngest sisters have an all-girl group. One of the members is Rihanna's cousin.. So they get to meet her... audition for her manager etc. My other lil sis manages their group and performs on her own as well..as well as doing supplemental background vocal work in the studio.

Both my EXs are in the music biz. One flew out to audition a couple times in the USA for Evan (Rihanna's manager)... she's got her music burning up the local and regional airways. My girl sings... and plays keyboards here. One of the top local guys called her up the other day to input on a track he's putting together.

It's pretty exciting to have it going on all around me.. but it sucks to have someone hear me jamming at a bar and ask: "what're you doing with yourself man? Why don't i hear shit from you on the radio?"

When i started university i had to make a lot of sacrifices. One of them was music.I made a promise to myself that i wouldn't let anything stop me from studying; working; and training.. so music had to go.. and dancing (i ball room danced competitively..as well as street dancing for entertainment).

Now (before i'm totally over the hill) i'd like to get back into it.. using every contact i have at my disposal.

My fiancee says that i can sing at any age... but the record guy says otherwise.

He said they don't sign guys over 25 years old.

..as a rule at least.

So hell..it's this year or bust
