Unfortuantely , your College courses mean squat really in the industry. THe industry cares about certifications. Forget what you "qualified for". What are you? MCSE 2003? Network plus? Study a lil more and get your ccna... basically the same sh*t with a lil ios knowledge. (ios is just the command prompt os that runs on shityt cisco routers... basically a bad copy of unix.. ). Even after you get certifications (if you havne't already) you will find that the certifications / schooling that they told you would open up these huge doors for you , just get the doors cracked open. Keep in contact with the people you went to school with. THey will be your best method to get that first experience. One of them will get a job and if they are worth a shit ... the empoyer will hire there friends. Try a job at a local NOC... they usually hire people with no experience. Shit pay but you will definately get some paper experieince.
