well I just got over taking a few days off because I got really sick, plus I think I was overtraining a bit.
I split my workouts up:
Back & Bi's/ Chest & Tri's/ Legs & Shoulders/ rest day/ Circuit Training
I've only been doing this routine since august or september
I do about 4-5 exercises for each body part.
I was doing 4 sets before, but I am only doing 3 sets now
15 reps on the first set, increase the wt. and do 2 sets of 8-12 reps.
I usually go back and do more at the end of my workouts if I haven't worked a certain muscle to fatigue (in other words, I'll keep going if I have it in me).
I work abs 3 days per week, but I hit them hard.
For cardio, I've eased up a bit. I ran an obstacle course in Sept. and was working out 2X day- running in the morning and lifting wts. at night.
Now I'm just doing about 30 min. of cardio after I lift- 4 days per week.
some days I'll take an hour kickboxing class instead or do Pilates if I'm too tired for the cardio.
I think I need a new shoulder routine if anyone has any new exercises to throw out at me. They used to be my best asset, but I think the rest of my arms caught up and now they look smaller.
