    Having sex while on steroids

Lol and no this aint about how horny i'm getting on the stuff. My Mrs is pregnant and she has some concerns about me cuming in her while on it. Could it harm her or the baby? I have been taking extra caution till i know for sure it cant harm anyone.

    Cheers

She'll be fine...it has no effects on the baby. Worst case the baby is born a few pounds heavier and with gyno. Na just playing it is all good to blast in her.

By god don't give birth while on cycle.

The baby will come out doing pullups on the umbilicle chord shouting "ahnold ahnold ahnold".

    We don't need that.

Do you have any evidence to support this claim?

As far I know, only the mother can adversely impact the prenate with drug use because she is DIRECTLY providing for its nutritional intake.

Granted alcohol, marijuana and other recreational drugs, as well as exposure to the occupational hazards of ionizing radiation, heavy metals and pesticides are factors that can affect fertility and even sexual performance. But with regard to the man’s pregnancy contribution, the actual sperm cell remains free from debilitation of any sort.

Though I’d certainly be interested in any conclusive literature you might provide.

Yeah.. Butt sex is alwasy an option but then again the steroid enhanced sperm could pass their way through the anus onto the vagina. You technically have super sperm while on a cycle.

Most likely your newborn child will come out bench pressing more then you. I dont think breast feeding will be needed since a strict diet of protein shakes will have to be induced to maintain baby gains.

If anything, the testosterone will improve your chances of getting her pregnant, due to the chemicals effect on the cells of the testes that produce sperm.

Now HOLD UP! I do believe that information is false, testosterone has been used as a male contraceptive, and quite effectively too from what I read...

I do believe you are wrong...

Department of Veterans Affairs-Puget Sound Health Care System, University of Washington, Seattle, USA.

Testosterone functions as a contraceptive by suppressing secretion of the pituitary gonadotropins luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone. Low levels of these hormones decrease endogenous testosterone secretion from the testis and deprive developing sperm of the signals required for normal maturation. Interference with sperm maturation causes a decline in sperm production and can lead to reversible infertility in men, raising the possibility that testosterone could be utilized in a commercially available contraceptive. To this end, testosterone has been studied alone and in combination with either gonadotropin releasing hormone analogues or progestins in efforts to improve its contraceptive efficacy. In this chapter, we will review efforts to use testosterone to create a safe, convenient, efficacious contraceptive method for men.

PIP: This article reviews efforts promoting the use of testosterone (TE) as a safe, convenient and an efficacious contraceptive method for men. In order to assess the efficacy of a potential male contraceptive, it is important to determine what level of sperm inhibition is necessary to achieve infertility. In efforts to improve its contraceptive efficacy, the following contraceptive trials have been studied: TE alone; TE and gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) analogues; and TE and progestins. TE requires weekly injections, which is a significant drawback. Thus, longer-acting esters, such as 19-nortestosterone and its derivative 7-alpha-methyl-19-nortestosterone, have been evaluated as potential substitutes for TE. Moreover, several advances have been made in understanding estrogen activity at the molecular level. This article concludes that TE is useful as contraceptive in human males; combinations with GnRH antagonists improve the efficacy of TE, although impractical for widespread use; and TE with progestins may also be promising. Furthermore, recent insights into the molecular regulation of transcription by estrogen receptors may point to the existence of a similar complexity in the androgen receptor and may provide new avenues for the generation of a male hormonally-derived contraceptive. A better understanding of the molecular regulation of spermatogenesis will clearly increase the chances of successfully manipulating these systems to create an easily usable, long-term contraceptive for men and to complement the success of the estrogen-progestin pill for women.

    Furthermore

The scientists hope that pharmaceutical companies will be able to develop the research into a useable drug, first combining the two hormones into a single injection and even one day, a pill.

    Suppressing production

The treatment works by suppressing sperm production. Progestin acts on the pituitary gland in the brain, which is responsible for producing two hormones required for sperm production: follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinising hormone (LH).

"Progestin reduces the production of LH and FSH, which are essential for spermatogenesis," explains Aarnoud van der Spoel, who is involved in developing a male contraceptive pill at Oxford University's Glycobiology Institute.

"But LH also has another effect," he says. "It stimulates testosterone production in the Leydig cells in the testes, where spermatogenesis takes place. And testosterone is necessary for libido and secondary sexual characteristics such as muscle bulk."

The implant was therefore needed to balance the reduction in testosterone. The approach was successful with no serious side-effects reported. Some men in the study even reported an increase in libido.

Other researchers are also investigating similar approaches. In 2001, Dutch pharmaceutical company Organon began ongoing trials of male implants containing the hormone etonogestrel, with testosterone being administered by injection.

    International opinion

But Anna Glasier, at Edinburgh University's Centre for Reproductive Biology, says it remains to be seen how acceptable couples find such treatment. She and her colleagues carried out an international survey of men and women's attitudes to male contraception.

"We found that the majority of men would prefer a pill [rather than injection or implant], but testosterone cannot currently be made in this form. So, I am not sure how successful the Australian treatment would be," she told New Scientist.

Some observers think the injection-implant treatment would give women more confidence in male contraception. But Glasier notes: "Almost all the women surveyed said they would trust a man to take a pill, provided he was their partner."

    Even further more..

xogenous testosterone is known to inhibit spermatogenesis. To explore its value as a male contraceptive, investigators in seven countries gave weekly intramuscular injections of testosterone enanthate (200 mg) to 271 healthy men in monogamous relationships. Injections continued until azoospermia occurred, or for a maximum of 6 months.
Of the 225 men who completed the injections, 157 (70 percent) became azoospermic. These men and their partners then stopped using all other contraceptives while weekly injections of testosterone were continued for up to 12 months. Only one pregnancy occurred during 1486 person- months of follow-up, a rate superior to that achieved with female oral contraceptives or the IUD. Side effects were generally minor, and the majority of subjects regained adequate sperm counts within a few months of discontinuing the injections.
Despite these promising results, several concerns remain. First, long-term medical complications are a potential problem with chronic androgen use. Second, a significant minority of patients did not become azoospermic on this regimen, necessitating repeated semen analyses to identify responders. Finally, a weekly schedule of injections is burdensome, a problem that can presumably be overcome by using longer-acting depot preparations.

I am not too sure what you and your friends are taking but if am sure that whatever it is (saying you are taking synthetic test) it does supress LH and FSH...do you disagree? This is how the contraceptive works and if you can prove me wrong I will stand corrected..

I can prove you wrong. I know of 4 little kids personally that were conceived during cycles. There was a thread on another board about this and i thing 6 guys on that board had kids while on. I know i got my gf prego while about 14 weeks in.

You still produce some sperm on cycle but repeated and strong steroid use can cause problems in spermatogenesis. The Test that controls sperm production passes through a few membranes acting as a paracrine agent that signals the sertoli cells to make sperm. Test that is injected doesn't quite work that way.

It just lowers sperm count, it doesn't get rid of it altogether.

Funny how people think something can get inside the uterus, but don't wonder why the amniotic fluid doesn't drain out...... I guess it was more fun to draw a beard and mustache on the picture of the sperm then to pay attention.

Umm guys.... Nothing can get into the uterus when the female is already pregnant because a large amount of thick mucus covers the cervix so that nothing else can enter.
