just try to convince her you can still afford it, you've got months yet to save up the needed cash. congrats on the new addition.
Congrats bro. Welcome to the club. One thing I learned about being a father is your first priority is to that child. Your life is not your own anymore. You have alot to think about now. Diapers, baby food, health insurance, doctor visits, day care, baby sitters, clothing, toys, more diapers, college, etc. I also think it's important to leave some things for yourself though too. When my daughter was born we were not financially stable so I worked long hours, gave up diet and training and let myself go. I looked like total shit. I lost weight, I was unhealthy and very unhappy. It was depressing. In the end our money problems had affected the relationship so much we ended up splitting by the time she was 3. You have to make the decision on what your finances are and what you should be spending your money on. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I would listen to the above post. Maybe you are well off, but if you are getting ready to be a Dad, I would lay off the juice for a while.
...another thing. I ended up selling my bike to pay bills too. Motorcycles are a personal luxury that you may have to sacrifice in order to properly raise this child. Now maybe you live a straight life and work your ass off and make good money I don't know but I notice your only 25. I don't know too many financially secure 25 year olds. I know one but his parents are wealthy. The rest are broke as hell.
congrats on the baby.
yeah im 25. i make about $65,000 year as a PM for a General contractor. but still dont have a ton of money. I do have a gsxr 1000 that i cant sell. i love it too much. i work 7am to 7pm 6 days a week, right now i work out when i get off but i guess thats gonna change. i dont know if i still will be able to. well thanks jerseyboy, i appreciate the personal experience info.
I hope you have a good health plan. You'll need it for the baby.

Enjoy being a dad and remeber that you are now secondary in life compared to your childs needs. Forget the juice dude. You are about to have a child with your gf that is going to bring you way more joy then some damn muscles ever will!
Well this is maybe half true. The steroids aren't important but taking care of yourself and feeling good is important. If your not happy your family won't be either. There's no reason why you shouldn't keep training. I look at it this way. My daughter brags about her dad at school and thinks it's cool that daddy has muscles. It also sets a good example for her to eat right and exercise. She's already started coming to the gym with me. Plus now that she's in her teens it's going to help to look a bit intimidating to any guys that are trying to get with her. I don't want to be a skinny runt of a father when she's bringing home the captain of the football team to meet her parents.Originally Posted by Sir Lifts-a-lot
haha good point about being big for when the tools come around to escort your daughter for the evening. You gotta be like my dad for when guys would come to get my sister and me sure to have your sleeve rolled up and show them your marine tattoo.
I remember one time ( I was like 14 and my sister was maybe 17) a guy came to the house and my dad would always be real cool with the guy and out of nowhere would be like 'Like my tattoo'?...and even before the kid could answer he would say, 'I got it in the Marines during Vietnam. Do you think I ever killed anyone?'
The kid nearly shit himself right there on the spot. It was great!
congrato bro![]()
