Best video game ever?

I dont play video games anymore, but i have to say the most game i ever enjoyed playing few years ago was Metal Gear Solid.

I loved it too. Dont play it anymore though.

The creeping up behind guards and strangling them. Using the silenced hand gun. The footsteps in the snow. Loved it.

gears of war, hands down.
and im a religious halo player..no way i can give halo 2 more credit than gears tho...altho when halo 3 comes out gears might collect dust for a couple weeks

Hmmm now that I think back on it, I think the game I played the most when it came out, and still play to this day is.....

TETRIS!

Man that game is still as addictive now as it was when it came out in '86. Only difference is that in 86 I played the original russian game on my original IBM PC and now I play it on my phone

I spent countless hours every night for a couple years playing that game online. It was great because multiplayer people would make up new games all the time, like Bunker Wars and shit like that. GAWD I miss it.... u see there's a new one coming out?

Dude I still play starcraft... I run a clan of WW2 Death in europe players. The game is based on the european fronts in WW2 and is extremely high paced. I love all the war and defense games as well. I am buying SC2 the day it comes out -.-

I like the Splinter Cell series so far. They have all kicked ass to varying degrees imo. I tried the demo of John Woo's Stranglehold last night and it looks pretty fun too (like Max Payne on juice). I am looking forward to Assassin's Creed for the 360 as well.

Online gaming? I spent HOURS playing Halo 2 and then Call of Duty 2 on XBOX Live...crazy addictive.

Every platform I have owned has had it's highs - I really like GTA London on the PS2, but now it just seems weak.

I think Project Gotham Racing was pretty sweet when it came out... Smashed so many controllers when I couldn't get a Kudos point.

Definitely Tetris, but the version for NES. Best game soundtrack EVER!!! The way it would speed up as you got closer to the top!!! I think if someone played that song for me at the gym I'd never stop moving...
