ya, most people in seattle don't even have air conditioning. My girlfriend lives in federal way and I know she doesn't.

I keep my ac on 24/7 and mine was $160 and i thought that was high. But i also make sure all lights are off at all times. And when they are on i keep them dim. I dont like a bight house it hurts my eyes.

I find lights and tv's are killer on the power they draw.

Yeah, but high property prices more than make up for it. The monthly rent on an apartment there is more than a lot of you guys pay on your house mortgage.

Bmp1, do you know what type of air conditioning system you have? You may want to consider installing an evaporative cooler. They would work great in your climate and they're very cost effective/efficient.
