Birthday was great. Did the going out thing. I ate 3oz of seared ahi tuna with a wasabi sauce, 4oz filet mignon, broiled marinated duck breast, and a whole roasted quil.
Evening was great with my wife, step-daughter(really like daughter) and bro in law.
Almost forgot. Cheated with a chocolate lava cake, with pistachio ice cream

california....they only produce a limited amount....keeps the product at high standards. I have seen bottles as cheap as $75 bucks and as high as $245. It all depends on which wine you buy. It's very smooth with a buttery and a slight oaky taste.

cool. i don't know much about wines, but i do get to sample some pretty good ones being this close to california. i like pinot nawar (sp?), cabs, and merlots the best

pinot noirs are over-rated. Cabs are the best to me. Oriel makes a good one. Ever tried 3 buck chuck from Trader Joe's? Its $3 a bottle and da&& good. never was a merlot fan, but to each there own.
