Hello everyone and itchy and pink shot question

Ok, this is the 4th shot I've taken on my cycle. First three were fine. I'm very sterile, use new pins to withdrawal and inject. Swab site twice. Shoot slow.

Saturday night I did 1 ml of Test e and 1 ml of EQ same needle. In my right shoulder. This is the first time for this shoulder. I'm using 22g's 1.5. Left shoulder really hurt, but got better in about 3 or 4 days.

It's now Tuesday night, and this time my right shoulder is now red or more pink really, not really hot but warm. It itching LIKE CRAZY. Blotchy red spot. I don't have a fever. The pain has subsided, but I've read a lot about infections, etc. and am also very paranoid with this first time stuff..ha.

What is everyone's opinion? I just overnighted me some Keflex just in case. I'm leaning more towards an irritation but thought I'd say hello and start this postings at the same.

    thank you!

Hi Merc. Good to see you here as well.

It is blotchy as in not round if that's what you mean?

The pain, which was intense (at least for me as this is the 4th shot I've taken) was pretty bad yesterday and the day before. Today it like 80 to 90% better as far as pain, but it really itches tonight and is only sore when I rotate my arm around.

I've been walking around with the thermometer in my mouth as this uncharted territory really makes me nervous.

    Thanks for the input guys.

All day today. Maybe got just a tiny bit bigger.

About 2 or 3 hours ago it was itching like crazy, now it's stopped a little.

It might be more red though because I've been feeling it, and putting my hand on it every hour to feel if it's hot..ha, which it's not really hot but more warm.

And you dont have any fever but the inject site is warm to the touch?? I have seen alot of infections so I am one to take them pretty serious.. I would keep a close eye on it and see a doc if it doesnt start improving or gets any worse.. I wouldn't play with a possible infection.. I know you said you have keflex coming which is used a lot but IMO its best to let a doc look at these types of things just to make sure...

Yes, no fever but warm to the touch, but very slight. I just checked it (again..ha) and it felt the same as the other side this time. It's hard to distinguish the difference between each arm really.

    Thought I'd update this...

Actually today (next day) it's much much better. Absolutely no pain or itching, but still just a tad pink, but fading. Absolutely no warmth to the touch at all now. Glad I didn't rush to the DR..ha.

I am going to try 25's next time.

    Thanks for the info!!!!!!!
