    yea, wrong use. I was trying to think quickly of what word to use for the divisions on the syringe and for some rreason that came to me. Not enough sleep I guess.

    graduated is the correct word, calibrated means it has passed an inspection that insures it meets correct standards. It could be a calibrated graduation That means a NIST certified volumetric was used to document that each graduation on the syringe did in fact contain the volume that it's marked to hold. (yes I am bored right now)
