I've done that a few times, crush the amp in my hand while opening it. I always order extra just in case of that.

this post made me remember a site I saw a year and a half or so ago. They asked for you to send your empty vials, amps, bottles, etc to them for "research" purposes... sounds like a scammer in the making!

The only thing I can add is that I've seen counterfeit amps that look so d@mn close to the real thing that it's scary. With that being said, it's also REAL easy to slap labels on vials of BS and sell them.
It's 6 of 1 and a half-dozen of the other.

You need to just find a real source. Vials are easy to use but I haver never used amps and probably never will.

with the amps i just wrap them in a paper cloth and use a pen to snap the top off.
have yet to break one

I do the same. I use the cap of a pen to snap it. The cap fits perfectly over the top of the amp.

do you guys filter your amps after breaking it or is it safe to use inject it without filtering?

Just as a heads up, it's not a good idea to pull liquids through a filter. Some syringe-type filters are constructed only for liquids to be pushed through them.
