Ok, soo... I know this might sound pathetic.. But here comes my rant haha...
I am finished school in 4 months, I have an internship and they want me to come on full time... I have a great girl, who I care about more then any girl I have ever dated... But im scared shitless.. Its like.. BOOM its time to work everyday, grow up.. etc etc, and I dunno I guess Im kinda freaked... Up to now all I have had to worry about is family, school, and working out!!... Bah make me feel better hahahhah

wish, i could make you feel better, but real life sucks.... I miss college! I miss bars, and beer, an sleeping late, and going to class and forgetting i had a test that day, and freshman girls, and old friends, not working much, partying too much, football games, basketball games and other stuff.

I was going through just about the same stuff as you at your age. Then i discovered i was gay and it made things 5 times more complicated. You don’t have it so bad, just enjoy life.

^^^^^^ Yeah that would be harder. Atleast you don't have a kid also! And you have a full time job (career actually). I got out of the Marines, was going to school and working part time and had a kid, then me and my wife found out we were pregnant again, so I was going to have 2 kids at 23, hadn't finished my A.A degree even yet, and worked part time. 1 year later, I work full time building Winnebago's, My wife works at a bank, we are home owners and have two of the most beautiful little girls in the world! We are both 24! Life is what you make it, stay positive and it will all work out for you man!

Dude, if you dont know what to do with your life but want the same kinda life you have always had good nights out, plenty of time to train, late sleep ins during the week, plenty of time off join the Fire Department.

Ask any firefighter, its like a club for kids but its members are big boys, im not joking.
If you end up on a decent station with a decent watch and you wont wanna do anything else with your life.

Its the same the world over from Sydney to seattle, Hong Kong to Hawaii.
Yes you can argue that the other services like the Miltary and Police are the same, i can tell you they aint, for starters the Military own you... the Police... well who wants to have no friends?

If only for just a few years to give you more time to adjust, its a good way point.

Dont know how they do it out in Canada but i work 4 on 4 off. I started in my current county end of November i had the tour between Xmas and Newyears off becasue i was forced to take my leave before the end of the year, crazy as id done less than a month there,
I took the last night i was meant to be in because i couldnt be bothered going, ive got up past 11 each day this week, been in the gym in the afternoon when its quiet each day this week, i got the rest of the month to work on normal shifts, then i are taking 8 days off during Feb because of the Rugby, totalling 20 days off. ive taken another 4 days off for march, and another 4 in april.
April the 14th im tranferring to London where its (so ive heard) the closest thing to the FDNY this side of the world.... i cant wait. Got the firefighter games in Liverpool in August, hoping to compete in the power lifting... will get payed leave (sports leave) to go and represent the brigade, might just go and get drunk with my old mates from Manchester who knows.

This is a protion of my life, one thing if you do join the FD you will hear lot of your civvy friends saying to you "are you off work again?" when they see you, you get use to that tho, but what ever you do with your life.. very best of luck with it pal.
