I actually have seen people buying a 1098 Ducati as their first bike. Thats insane. My first bike was a 250 and I have been riding for 16 years. A 600 will blow away any car out there and is plenty of fun and it really takes experience to handle it. Get a few years experience under your belt then move on if necessary. I personally can't imagine having anything bigger as a first bike but thats me, to each their own. Always remember, ride safe!
I agree, better safe than sorry. If you buy a smaller bike, then want more, it's easy enough to upgrade. If you buy more bike than you can handle for the first one, sadly, you may never get the chance to regret the decision. I've lost some good mates for just that reason.

lol, EastBay Motorsports is full of SHYSTEY LYING Salesmen.

I wouldnt buy grip glue there.

I laugh when those douchebags try to convince a 19 year old kid that $14000-$16000 is a good deal for a 600 !

I used to live in Arizona and I had a 750 Yellow & Black GSXR for about 4 years... rode it year round it was fantastic and the roads were great out there.

Move to Chicago and I got rid of that sucker because the roads are gravel at every corner and weather is so crappy all the time. I figured if I made it 4 years without killing myself that was good enough for me, haha.

It's been a few years again and I'm getting the itch back. I think I want to get a cruiser or a chopper this time around. I'm in fabrication/welding and I want to eventually build myself a chopper; but that's a big investment I'm not quite ready for...

Nice bikes though guys. I love the 'extras' inside the ram-air box, big!
