insulatard is long lasting~~ i would rather u go for humulin R or Actrapid, never use long lasting insulin it is very very dangerous~~ and if u want to use insulin it is best to have a glucometer to check ur blood every 2 hours to monitor and always have a chocolate bar beside u juz in case u have hypo
