What an awesome guy I tell you. Can't wait to see him!
I have read the bible cover to cover three times and have also read various books in the bible many times over that....

I never read anything about hell.....Hell is an english term, Jesus referenced a place called Gehenna (which was in Jeruselem), and also some letters in the epistles interchanged the term Gehenna with Hades (greek term).... another term is Sheol (place of the dead or grave in Hebrew).... all these terms are loosely interchanged with the english word Hell. This causes the misconception of what Hell like you are stating above is, with what those original terms meant.

The only place everyone goes to is the grave (dead)....and belief in Jesus as the savior gives one the chance of eternal life and to be ressurected (rised up, brought forth) from the grave or dead state into life at the appointed time...

good point...and we might agree on what a good human being is... but, what if we don't agree on what a good human being is.... and who defines what the term "good" means...

I hear this all the time by non-believers (not talking about you calg )... yet, the premise for being good and loving your neighbor, forgiving, etc.. that we all agree upon.....all originated mainly from Jesus.

Plus I also think that religion is a personal choice ( whether you born in it or you decided on it) IMO dragging religious into politics is another agenda of globalists to make people hate each other. The Global plan is to have one global religion define by the "Elites"

Because Jesus would never had to come die on the cross and suffer if all it took to get to heaven was being a good person or following a set of rules. This my friend is what separates religion from being saved by grace through faith in Christ. The book of Galatians says you fall from the grace of God (the place where the free gift of eternal salvation is given) when you try to get to heaven by being a good person and/or following religious laws plus having faith in Jesus.

Here's a prime example-the bible says there will be many (not a few) say Lord-Lord we have done all these WONDERFUL WORKS IN THY NAME (They where doing good deeds in the name of Jesus such as being good to others) and he will say- depart from me you workers of uniquity because I never knew you! What this says is that they were playing religion as opposed to accepting the fact they will always be a sinner in the eyes of God and they "ONLY" way to heaven is by faith in Christ- death-burial-ressurection (not good works and/or plus faith in Christ). It also says those who come to him and are luke warm will be spewed out. This has nothing to do with performing good works or being a good person. It has to do with coming to him on a personal level and accepting his blood sacrifices for all your sins (past-future-present) with absolute belief from the heart as opposed to not really believing with all your heart-mind-soul..

THERE'S SOME WHACKY THINGS BEING DONE IN THE NAME OF CHRISTIANITY!!

Anything that locks you up in the prison of SELF: self-seeking, selfishness, self-centeredness... injures or makes impossible any sort of connection with another, including God. It was the sin of Lucifer, and it was the sin he taught mankind: to be at the CENTER of the universe, to set yourself up as god.

"It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of Heaven."

It's not that God wouldn't allow a rich man to enter... it's just that the rich man has so much baggage he's clutching. He clings to the load of shit they sold him rather than enter into happiness by realizing: "all this shit isn't making me really happy. Free me, Lord, from what I think I want so you can fill me up with what I really need."

Looked at another way, If your entire value system is founded on being a big, bad, mother-f****r, muscle bound, the envy of every man, the object of every woman's lust, enjoying making others feel inferior, small, and less manly, throwing your weight around and using your muscles to intimidate and get your way, well then... You're clutching much to hard to The World and all its vanities and pomps and false glamour... You couldn't hear God's word even if he blasted it at you through a megaphone.

"It is harder for a bodybuilder to enter into the kingdom of Heaven than it is to drive a SUV through a revolving door."

(I know... a little odd coming from me. Twelve years of Catholic education were not in vain.)

I'm a Christina but not a fanatic. I grew up going to church 3 or 4 times a week, playing piano for our church and all that good stuff.

I am tired of all the hypocrisy though and never force my beliefs on anyone. There is no one true faith, they all have their faults and downfalls. I think many people who get to heaven will be very surprised when they see how many other people from other religions are there.

I have never been into bible thumping or giving up life to attend church or worship. All of my childhood was wasted on attending church and no family time or making memories because my parents wanted to make sure that if we died tomorrow we would be prepared and that meant not living life today.

I think some people need church like some need AA.
