Its hard for me to favor in people have a guns when you live as close to the city as i do. There are 1-2 killings a night which is ridicious. Yeah, yeah i know guns don't kill people, people kill people but i think we (people who live down here) are just so overwhelmed by all the killings we just don't know what to do anymore.

DSM, I am in Philly EVERY SINGLE DAY! I cannot believe that you are against citizens arming themselves? The 1-2 killings a day are committed by CRIMINALS! None of the guns they are using are registered legal firearms posessed by law abiding upstanding citizens. They are perpetrated by criminals who break the law regularly and live a life of crime. I think you should ENCOURAGE citizens in Philadelphia to exercise their god given RIGHT to coneal&carry a firearm to defend themselves against these criminals in our city. Why do you want to enable the criminals and make their lives easier by making all of us citizens easy prey? You may not think of it in these terms, but everytime that you support a Socialist liberal policy like that it enblazens some whack job politician to think that thats what his constituency wants so they start voting for anti-gun legislation. Only a liberal could blame problems like 1-2 killings a day on an inaniment object.

I do agree as stated above a criminal is a criminal with or with out a gun. If it's not a guy they use to kill it will be a knife stick brick or something.

Guns are easy to point at to be the problem. Look at the people using them. They are out of control (Cops).

I was making a Libertarian pro 2nd Amendment argument against even having to register guns or get a permit to buy them. Having to obtain a permit implies that you need "permission" to exercise a RIGHT. I dont know of any other circumstance where a person needs a permit in order to exercise a right.
