Interesting stuff, bro. I bring stuff back through Canada, both prescriptions and AS (including syringes and needles) and declare everything with U.S. Customs - no problems, but I have prescriptions to back everything up.

And that's the one thing you didn't mention - prescriptions. The U.S. Customs stations at the Canadian borders require them if the drug requires a prescription in the U.S. (For example, Claritin - the nontranquilizing allergy drug that Joan Lunden advertises - requires a prescription in the U.S. but is sold over the counter in Canada. To bring it from Canada into the U.S., you still need a prescription since it requires one here.)

Are you saying that you are able to bring prescription drugs from Mexico into the U.S. (and declare them with U.S. Customs) without a prescription?

Also, you mentioned Viagra. Is this available in Mexico? My Canadian doctor (who re-writes my U.S. prescriptions, since pharmacies in Ontario require prescriptions from a doctor in the province) complained that it is not available in Canada and that he could not write prescriptions for his Canadian patients to get it in the U.S. I would be surprised to find that it is available in Mexico but not Canada (although I would imagine that Canada is much tighter about approving new drugs than Mexico is).

Side note: I agree with tiny - if you're bulked, you're much more likely to be questioned about whether you're carrying AS. Since I declare my gear and have prescriptions to cover them, I have no problems, although I was never questioned about AS even before I started bring AS back into the States from Canada. It all depends how tight your act is and what kind of image you communicate.
