You dont want to tear a tendon or muscle cause you didnt take the time to develope your connective tissue or your nervous system. Yes, these other 2 guys are VERY important to muscle growth and avoiding injury.
i am that guy teared the muscles that connect the shoulder with the chest near my armpit, i think i learned it the hard way and i still regret it til now because i can only bench no more than 300lbs
