    i support gay rights bur think the government does HAS to be involved because of all the civil/legal repurcussions associated with the union.

    i also think the issue is too complex to have just three choices as above. i also don't feel comfortable expressing all of these views openly; it would be better to have the ballot stay secret imo. i am not afraid to express or insecure about my views, but i do care about people taking things the wrong way and getting upset.

    but i also think a thread like this is a recipe for disaster just as the threads about racial issues have exploded in flames; there will be people who come on and spoil it.

    i say it's their decision. if it makes them happy then so be it. i personally have no problem with gays and actually have family that is homosexual. but i bet you i know on person that will come in here and have a problem with talking about it and expressing opinions.....

    I dont see what we have to protected from. Everyone deserves the same rights gay or not. That should be the end of the story. If people have personal or moral problems they are for them to deal with. I dnt think we need to protect society from anything.

    i didn't say anything about society needing protection.

    and let's not turn this into an argument against MY opinions; which is exactly why i am not getting any deeper into my opinions; i didn't even post anything against gays but here someone's jumping on me already

    lol. Scibble it wasnt against you. Im sure since i quoted you it came out that way. I was even going to write a line saying it wasnt directed towards you. But i figured you knew me well enough so i didnt have too.
