I used to be shit hot in Spanish, but after 15 years of no exposure and no use, I'm really rusty.
I speak Japanese fairly good, but reading can be difficult as they use 3 different scripts.

I'm not around "native" English speakers very much anymore, so I sometimes say things that seem like I'm an ass. I usually tell my students, "Nice try, though." when they give an incorrect answer. It's often said sarcastically in the States and elsewhere, but I've lost my touch with common usage. Even when I go back home, people ask me where I'm from because I talk slowly and enunciate every word.

Just a matter of circumstance and location. Spanish was necessary to communicate with migrant workers in the agriculture industry and Japanese is necessary to do everything over here.
I really want to learn German, French, and Italian.
