Google on how to change a DVD into a VCD. You lose some quality but not that much. VCDs will play in most DVD players.

Yes. Even better is if you burn it as a Divx to a CDRW. It will play in DVD players as well.

Only way a DVD player will read a CDRW is if it was specifically made to and says so on the box. Most standard DVD players do NOT read CDRW's.

Most I've used do. The only problem I had was with a friends Sony DVD player. I have 3 different DVD players that did not specify what they read and they all read VCD's or Divx files. If you've bought a DVD player in the last 3-5 years, most likely it will read those file types even if it didn't say from my experience.

I have had many Sony's and Samsung players that wouldn't read them. I gave up and just started using DVD CDs and have never had a problem with any player so far.

Are you making VCD/SVCD or DivX files? You can look up if yours works here: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers?...wall=0&order=0

Like I said, I've only had trouble once. It's an old technology that I was using back in 2002-2005 to make a few "DVDs" of stuff I either downloaded or wanted to backup.
