WoW!! What a difference the needle does Make!!

I just got some new 25g 1" from get****. Made by BD, Becton Dickson, a high quality name. I had been using a cheaper brand Terumo. All I can say is the BD leaves much less pain. I thought it was the prop. Now I am convinced it was the needle. Highly recommend not skimping on the needle. I know I won't anymore.

BD is considered better then Terumo? I was always under the impression the Terumo was top of the line...

There is no difference with them its in your head unless you got a dul pin which can happen from time to time with any manufactuer.

i didn't think there was that big of a difference between the 2. i haven't had any issues with pain from terumo needles so far, pushing the pin in is the easy part. its the prop that burns like hell.

It's like Coke vs. Pepsi, or BMW vs. Mercedes...They both make the best pins...I've found the lettering of BDs to not come off as quickly if you were to rub but the Terumo's lock tighter. They are equally as sharp right out of the gate.

I disagree that it is in his head - I've gone cheap with pins and there is a difference between the cheap and the better brands. I can't speak about Terumo as I haven't used them.

In time I got use to the cheap but I've decided to scrap that stock and buy new and better quality (smaller guage as well). I am extremely happy with my decision.

BD > Terumo. My pharmacy just switched over to Kendall brand. i feel like shooting someone. they are the worst ever. the higher the gauge, the less pain. 27g is where its at!

damn jigga. i gotta put some mad preasure on the plunger to even use a 25 ga. im sticking with 23 ga. altho im sure if i was more consistant about warming my gear before injection i could use a 27ga.

As we all know everyone is diff. My prop is 100% EO and since I switched to BD the pain is gone.

I draw prop, tren and masteron with a 25g and use the same to inject. I do not believe in changing needles. Maybe the BD can just hadle it better.

WOW! That's a big problem. Those needles dull after being pushed through the rubber tops, and most importantly they lose the silicon coating that lubricates in as it goes into the muscle. That's like stabbing yourself with a dull dry paper clip IMO.

Try drawing with a large gauge like 21, then switching to something smaller like 23 (personally I use 25g) and then shooting. I never have injection pain, and can't even feel the pin going in either.

same here. actually quite a few dull pins in the box i have.. i've gotten used to the pain during and after that comes with it.

BD, terumo... are there any others? i would think they all tend to have bad batches...

I've used both BD and Terumo for years, and have never been able to tell a difference between the two.

most of my syringes are terumo.. with a 21G pin.. my pins i order separate for injecting are 23 and 25G BD

I can tell a huge difference between BD and Terumo. Most noteably is that the majority of Terumo pins are curved, whereas the BD pins are perfectly straight. I have always felt the Terumo's were somewhat more dull than the BD's. On a side note, the only thing we use in the hospital are BD's.

I think someone said it....but make sure you draw with one needle ( i like to use a 23 to draw) and shoot with a different one(new)....25 or 27 works for me

The god father is right. The Terumo are simply less ridgid so can bend more readily. The BD are stiffer and do not.

I disagree with the notion that you dull a syringe when putting it in a stopper. How many times have you seen a doc or hospital stop to change out needles after drawing medicine.

It's a nefarious trick by the man to keep you buying new pins. They are busy counting the money all the way to the bank when you spend $0.05 on a new syringe and they get $0.01 profit margin.

That pic has some truth to it. If I pull from one vial then shoot it's easy. If i pull from several then shoot it's definitly harder for the needle to peirce the skin.

I change needles if I have to pull from more than 1 jug.
