It would require a really substantial amount of product to catch the attention of the federal law enforcement agencies. If it's just a couple vials or some dumb ish like that, then it stays a local matter.

If the amount is enough to illicit the monitoring of your incoming/outgoing mail, then the feds would be involved, and local police will be the least of your worries.

EDIT: If you are in trouble, and this isn't a hypothetical post...just one piece of advice: KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT! Don't say anything to anyone aside from your lawyer. Even the "cool" detective that comes to talk to you, shoots the shit, etc...**** him. He's just trying to pry out information.

Let's just say that the amount found was for personal use, so it was very little that the person got busted with. You think that person would be ok ordering more gear? If so, would that person have to wait a while? Or would opening up a P.O. box be a safer bet?
