These are not toxic chemicals by their nature. They are completely normal and indeed *necessary* for life in a certain amount. Phosphate is literally a larger portion of your bones than calcium is. Only in vast quantities are they harmful, as would be calcium, magnesium, chloride and any other biologically necessary ion in our bodies.
